This edition of our 5 Slide Series quantifies the very low percentage of women serving in national political leadership positions. There may not be any “news” being conveyed, but we wanted to highlight the enormity and persistence of these gender disparities. Some encouraging progress has occurred in recent years. However, the key takeaway is that with the exception of the current Supreme Court composition, we are still incredibly out of balance and are depriving ourselves of a huge portion of our country’s talent pool.
