Jennifer Leonard has an extensive background in health care policy and law. As a former Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy, School of Public Health at the George Washington University, she concentrated on Medicaid and other areas of publicly financed health care. While there, she provided consulting and technical assistance to the District of Columbia government on various health policy issues, including the Medicaid managed care program and did additional work regarding the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and community health policy issues. Prior to that, Jennifer was an attorney in private practice specializing in health care law and Federal grant programs such as the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) program and Head Start.
