Poornima Singh serves as the company’s Director of Government Contracting and Correctional Health Services. Since 2011, Poornima has worked with a team of consultants at Special Needs Consulting Services who then formed The Menges Group, where she is a founding partner.
Poornima served on a contract with Maryland’s Medicaid agency, working with stakeholders and CMS to develop an integrated care solution for dual eligibles. Poornima also served as project manager on a Medicaid redesign engagement for Alaska’s State Legislature. She also worked with North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services in assessing options for transitioning the LTSS population into a coordinated care setting.
Poornima has also supported numerous Medicaid health plans during competitive procurements, delivering project management, writing support, fresh eyes review, solution development, and production management. She has also supported plans in the implementation of newly awarded contracts as well as helping plans position themselves well in advance of the release of a request for proposal.
Poornima has also worked with organizations to support their correctional health solutions. She brings knowledge of best practice programs for incarcerated Medicaid expansion members as they re-enter their communities, as well as care coordination to inmates in jails and prisons.
Poornima’s prior experience includes serving as a Project Analyst at the National Quality Forum where she provided technical assistance on electronic measure implementation. She was also a Research Assistant at the National Association of State Medicaid Directors. Poornima’s career in public health began at a county substance abuse services agency in the metro-Detroit region.
Poornima received an M.P.H. in Maternal and Child Health from George Washington University, and a B.A. in Health Sciences from Oakland University.
When she is not working, Poornima enjoys cooking, eating, and helping her children discover the things they enjoy.
