Michelle Gogerty joined The Menges Group as a Director in January 2024, bringing leadership experience in Medicaid managed care, clinical strategy, and population health. Her career has been focused on improving healthcare outcomes and optimizing healthcare delivery systems.
At United Healthcare, Michelle’s innovative approach shaped successful clinical strategies for Medicaid recipients and providers. She also played a critical role in business development as a subject matter expert on multiple Medicaid RFPs. Michelle co-developed an integrated value-based care program at Optum Behavioral Health, leading to significant clinical and financial improvements. She led integrated Medicaid Behavioral Health Homes, enhancing provider relationships and member experiences.
Michelle also specializes in maternal and child health, previously serving as the Southeast Regional Director of the March of Dimes. There, she dedicated her efforts to helping some of the nation’s most vulnerable people, focusing on reducing pre-term delivery rates, infant mortality, and maternal morbidity/mortality. She engaged in healthcare policy development and government affairs, influencing meaningful changes in the Deep South and Puerto Rico.
With a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Michelle’s academic achievements complement her practical experience in primary care, behavioral health, and social services. This unique combination informs her person-centered approach to developing effective clinical programs and solutions.
As a tropical beach enthusiast living in the landlocked state of Iowa, Michelle rates travel pretty high on her list of interests.
